After the successful experience of the Ariondaz photovoltaic power plant in Courchevel, which was commissioned in autumn 2023, S3V is continuing along this path with the construction of a new installation on the G1 of the Mont Vallon TC in Mottaret. The objective is the same: to produce local, carbon-free energy.
the largest photovoltaic system in the French Alps
This new project with a power of 200 kWc of photovoltaic modules covers 850 m² of roof on the 2 sides of the garage of the Mont Vallon gondola lift. The selected German brand modules are certified Low Carbon label.
The plant has been in service since September 2024 and will enable the production of approximately 190 MWh per year, i.e. the consumption of the Bouquetin chairlift over one season. As with the Ariondaz, the electricity will be fully returned to the S3V internal network.
