Tarentaise valley and Vanoise National Park

The Tarentaise, this renowned valley in the heart of the Alps, rising from 380 to 3855 m (summit of the Grande Casse), offers in summer its pastures, glaciers and wilderness but also its villages and outstanding landscapes.

Its Vanoise National Park (
www.parcnational-vanoise.fr), 1st National park created in France in 1963, preserves more than 53 000 hectares of wilderness.

The Tarentaise
is a famous centre for mountain activities, but also a  land of culture and contemplation. ( Petit Saint Bernard pass, Champagny high valley, Beaufort cheese pastures,  baroque churches...).
